L-band Scatterometer
L-band Scatterometer

The L-band Scatterometer is an active sensor operating within the 1-2 GHz frequency range. It is a radar system designed to measure backscatter, usually to determine Earth's surface characteristics. It is commonly used for monitoring soil moisture, ocean salinity, sea ice, and surface water.
